Our sins are remitted when we are baptized. Lk. 24:47 “And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.” Acts 22:16 “And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord.” Acts 2:38 “Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.”
Question? Why is it so important to be baptized for the right reason? • 1. Not because your mother or father • Want you to…I’m sure they do…but that • Is not the reason to be baptized. • 2. Not because your preacher is on you • all the time about being baptized and you • want to get them to leave you alone. • 3. Not because others your age are being baptized. No SET age found in the Bible!

Before you are baptized scripturally, you must • 1. Hear the word of God. Rom. 10:17 • This teaches you what God says about the matter. • 2. You must believe in Jesus.
