  2. Healthy lifestyle • Healthy lifestyle is a way of life. • It is style of living. • A healthy mind, body and spirit. • It means : healthy eating, health and fitness, managing stress, alternative health.

  3. Healthy eating • nutritional food and good for the body, • food that is bad. • Eating is the essential component of healthy eating.

  4. Health and fitness • Regular exercise • Aerobic exercise • Yoga • Pilates • Exercises help keep you fit and maintain your weight at a healthy level.

  5. Managing stress • is a critical part of healthy lifestyle. • Harm your body and affect your relationship. • Stress can lead to alcohol or drug addiction.

  6. You cannot have a healthy lifestyle if you are depress and unhappy. • Alternative health options like herbal medicine, massage therapy, meditation, aromatherapy, etc, can benefit you and help you have a healthier lifestyle.

  7. Living a healthy lifestyle takes discipline. • You must make up your mind and choose things that are good. • Take care of your physical, mental and spiritual health. • You should monitor what you do on a regular basis. If something is not right, you can make any necessary changes.

  8. What comprises healthy eating ? • There are basically five food groups: grains, vegetables, fruits, dairy products and meat or meat substitutes. • The daily recommended servings of each food group are dependent on various factors such as age, sex and activity level of the individuals. • Take three cups of vegetables, because they are your primary source of vitamins and minerals.

  9. Take two cups of fruits, • fresh fruits like apple, oranges, bananas and grapefruits. • Take three cups of dairy products like milk, cheese, and yogurt. • The major sources of protein are meat like beef, fish, poultry, eggs and beans and tofu.

  10. Medicine • If you make your body strong and healthy, then you won’t become ill. There are three ways to do this: • -  diet • -  relaxation • -  exercise

  11. Diet • People try to eat regularly, avoid eating chips, hamburgers, food in tins and packets. • Instead, they try to eat fresh fruit and vegetables, brown bread, fish and white meat and reduce the amount of salt, fat, and sugar.

  12. Relaxation • Relaxation helps the body to rest and repair itself. • Some people can control problems and pressure. • Sleep well, enjoy life, don’t worry very much and try to avoid stressful situations.

  13. Types of medicine • -classicalmedicine-offers treatment with painkillers. • -traditionalmedicine-herbalism, acupuncture, homeopathy, osteopathy, shiatsu. It looks at the whole person, not just the illness.

  14. Acupuncture- uses needles. • Homeopathy- uses natural plants and flowers. • Osteopathy- is a system of movements. Osteopaths push, pull and twist the body with their hands.
