  1. Simple Solution. Brighter Futures. CCMR Dual Credit April 2019 Presented by: Diana Perez

  2. Dual Credit Reporting CCMR Dual Credit Indicator Earn 3 hours of Dual Credit (ELA/Mathematics) or 9 hours in any subject (including technical)

  3. Dual Credit Reporting – Definitions • Definitions: • PASS/FAIL-CREDIT-INDICATOR-CODE (E0949) • Indicates the outcome for a course taken by a particular student. • DUAL-CREDIT-INDICATOR-CODE (E1011) • Indicates whether the student was eligible to receive both high school and college credit for a college course. • COLLEGE-CREDIT-HOURS (E1081) • Indicates the number of college hours a student earned for the completion of a dual credit course. • COURSE-SEQUENCE-CODE (E0948) • Identifies the unique part(s) of a course when a course is taught during a single grading period or semester or across multiple grading periods or semesters. • The course sequence code identifies how the course was taught to the student during the school year, or in the summer.

  4. Dual Credit Reporting - Guidelines When a student completes a dual credit course and receives college credit hours, the course sequence code should be “0” to align with how college courses are generally taught (single semester basis). Reporting dual credit courses with any course sequence code other than “0” can result in overreporting of college credit hours.

  5. Dual Credit Reporting – Business Validation Rules Dual credit college courses are generally single semester courses.

  6. Dual Credit Reporting - Scenarios • Example of failing a dual credit course: Example of passing a dual credit course:

  7. Dual Credit Reporting - Scenarios Based on the information provided above, no business validation rules will fire. This is basically saying that a high school semester long course was passed. • Example of failing HS course but passing the college: Based on the information provided above, the LEA will receive Special Warning 43415-0056 but could report the information this way. You are basically saying that a Dual Credit course was failed (high school portion) but received college credit hours. Example of passing HS course but not the college:

  8. Dual Credit Reporting - Scenarios Example of passing a dual credit course College course over 1 year or Accelerated Block (4 semesters and the one semester college course spans two of the semesters)

  9. Dual Credit Reporting - Scenarios Example of passing a dual credit course College course over 1 year or Accelerated Block (4 semesters and the one semester college course spans two of the semesters)

  10. Dual Credit Reporting - Scenarios Example of failing a dual credit course College course over 1 year or Accelerated Block (4 semesters and the one semester college course spans two of the semesters)

  11. Dual Credit Reporting - Scenarios Will Performance Reporting give the student credit for a total of 6 college hours? Service ID is being repeated, but it really is a total of 6 college hours.  Performance Reporting Answer: Yes, in the fall they will receive 3hrs for credit in the CCMR indicator. In the spring, they will also receive 3hrs in the CCMR indicator. We do not look at the Service ID for CCMR credit (we just need the credit hours). Example of passing a dual credit course 2 College courses paired with 1 service id

  12. Dual Credit Reporting - Scenarios Example of passing HS course but not the college: College course over 1 year or Accelerated Block (4 semesters and the one semester college course spans two of the semesters)

  13. Dual Credit Reporting - Scenarios • Fatal 43415-0036 has been updated from: If PASS/FAIL-CREDIT-INDICATOR-CODE is "01" and DUAL-CREDIT-INDICATOR-CODE is "1", then COLLEGE-CREDIT-HOURS must be greater than 0. • to this: If PASS/FAIL-CREDIT-INDICATOR-CODE is "01" and DUAL-CREDIT-INDICATOR-CODE is "1", and COURSE-SEQUENCE-CODE is “0”, “2”, “5”, “9”, then COLLEGE-CREDIT-HOURS must be greater than 0. Example of failing HS course but passing the college College course over 1 year or Accelerated Block (4 semesters and the one semester college course spans two of the semesters) Option 2

  14. Dual Credit Reporting - Scenarios Example of failing HS course but passing the college College course over 1 year or Accelerated Block (4 semesters and the one semester college course spans two of the semesters) Option 2
