  16. Designing Online Learning Higher Education This project provides teachers with tools and support to move to online delivery based on their readiness level. Deliverables 4 x 30 min TAFE Connects Series sessions Learning design framework with tutorials, tools checklist usable by teachers. Learning sequence templates Linking learning to tools matrix Implementation support : videos explaining use of the tools; self-assessment rubic to guide teachers to appropriate tools Go to DOL This project supports TAFE NSW higher education (HE) delivery. Deliverables Set up and configuration of a central LMS for all TAFE HE delivery Design a Moodle theme with HE branding and Moodle template with headings and instruction customisable by Institutes Design template for all HE course documentation Facilitate the upload of courses in the HE Equella collection Implementation support Go to Higher Ed

Trades and technology Transition/implementation of Moodle 2 This project provides teachers with a set of resources to help them to develop confidence and skills to deliver elearning for trades Deliverables Step-by-step guide to designing elearning for trades Learning sequence templates for trades Case studies Support and collaboration via eCommunities forum TAFE Connects on ‘Designing online learning for trades’ Go to Trades & Technology This project supports Institutes moving to Moodle 2+ The areas of focus are Moodle administration – a change management process for Moodle Capability building – support teachers to work with the changes Learning design in Moodle 2+ templates Go to Moving to Moodle 2

  18. Using technology to engage students in remote and multi-sites LLN Phase 2 This project supports teachers who are delivering to distance students in multi-sites. Deliverables: Pedagogy for delivering to distance students in multi-sites including templates and lesson plans Case studies eCommunities site facilitating forums and ongoing collaboration. LOCO Phase 2 Digital Literacy Phase 2 Expand LOCO functionality Ability to edit multiple documents simultaneously Multiple page HTML resources QTI output for quizzes (LOCO for other LMSs including Sakai) Explore feasibility of creating IMS QTI and or SCORM export from LOCO Explore the feasibility of exporting Moodle courses to generic LMSs Go to LOCO Phase 2 This project supports teachers in using digital technology to deliver online training. Phase 1 deliverables A scan TAFE Institutes online courses spreadsheet Workflow and criteria to upload resources to Equella Top 10 resources required by Institutes A separate Shared PD and Compliance collection in Equella A Moodle backup and restore guide Go to PD & Compliance Phase 2 Courses available for download from Equella Green skills (sustainability awareness) Social media DEC code of conduct Keeping them safe (child protection) Aboriginal cultural awareness – contact HI Risk management (Work health & Safety) Dignity and respect CLAMS Animal and welfare training program Merit selection technique refresher training Moodle 2.2 and selecting staff – PWG agreed not to proceed with developing the resources

  21. Mobile Learning Phase 2 This projects supports mobile learning in TAFE NSW. Deliverables Sample mobile course in Moodle Sample eBooks (ePUB format) eBook templates: using InDesign to ePUB workflow 2 x course curricula for teachers to incorporate mobile options in delivery Learning design matrix with tools and activities for mobile learning TAFE Connects on mobile trial Go to Mobile learning Phase 2
