Tourism in our part of Worcestershire?Get real? • We may not be York, Bath, Stonehenge or Ambleside – so why promote tourism businesses? • Large number of business visitors to our area – staying while attending NEC, NIA, etc who use other services – places to eat, shop, relax and if impressed may return • Lots of longer-stay tourists in surrounding areas – Stratford, Cotswolds, Birmingham – need an incentive to explore this area – attractions and promotions • Weekend visitors staying with families and friends • Business tourism and internal tourism – promote your area to those who visit you from outside
