The Regional MANCOM sets the focus/direction of the Region • To strengthen instruction and supervision • To integrate co curricular activities • To enhance HRD/Professional Development of Leaders/teachers • To rationalize assessment and M & E
To strengthen instruction and supervision • The principals should be in their respective school from Monday to Wednesday doing supervision. Networking, submission of reports, and extra activities may be done on Thursdays and Friday • Reports should be prepared by the principal, not by the teachers. • Principals should not send proxies during consultative meetings .
To strengthen instruction and supervision • The principal must : • apply different supervisory approaches • Provide technical assistance to teachers
To Integrate co -curricular Activities • Only competitions with National Levels will be conducted in District, and Regional Level • Regular celebrations will be done on classroom to maximize pupil participation • Shortened period will be applied every Friday to facilitate several activities
Friday Schedule • Second Friday - INSET of teachers, preparation of instructional materials • Third Fridays - for PTAs • 4th Fridays - Pupils • Fist Friday - Meeting with Principals
To enhance HRD/Professional Development of Leaders/ Teachers • In –service training should be conducted • Teachers should be encourage to pursue post –graduate studies; • Special training should be offered to non majors should
To rationalize assessment and M & E • Assessment results should be based on planning future activities • Actual classroom observations should be done by the PSDS, EPS and school principals. • Monitoring and Evaluation should cover • instruction • Physical plant and facilities • School cleanliness and orderliness • School discipline
A survey was conducted during conferences and the following values have been identified to be the guiding principles in the operation of the region and division • Regional Office • Honesty • Teamwork • Commitment • Resourcefulness • God fearing

On Honesty/Resourcefulness/God Fearing • Dissemination of information related to financial expenditures like MOOE and others • Regulation of contributions for program and activities • Implement programs/projects and activities for pupils and teachers with less if not, no contribution
On Teamwork/Commitment /Competence • Collaborative planning • Horizontal/vertical involvement in all activities • Review existing co-curricular activities
