  2. What is eThority? • eThority is the bridge between complex data sources and easy to understand user interfaces. Customizable so it is easily able to satisfy the needs of users simply wanting to access standard reports, or for users who require extensive data mining and report generation capabilities.

Benefits of eThority • Costs vs. Vista for reconciliation purposes • University wide resources of actual daily users • Give PI’s up-to-date information on their spending • Know status of project accounts ending • Much easier to manipulate than other reporting tools. • Contains financial and HR information • Create reports for historic, current or future predictions • Can use as a trigger tool

  19. Utilizing eThority How would we create a projection of expense report… • Open up PDI Dept Acct Projection • Choose a department account (budget based) • What we see now: • Current Budget • Actual Exp through 11/30/11 • Roll Forward Limit at 6/30/12 Let’s Create a Powerfield…

  21. PowerFields • Field Name: Avg Mo Exp • Data Type: Currency • Use this Expression – Edit

  24. PowerField What is our yearly projected expenses? • Follow the same steps previously to create a PowerField that determines your Projected expenses for the current fiscal year.
