When you’re there…Do’s & Don’ts • Do spend a min of 2 days • Do prepare a “little something extra” • Do bring extra copies of app materials and photo • Do offer to help or do as much as you can, until they say STOP… • Do know the etiquette of the procedure suite and BE NICE TO ALL STAFF IN THE ROOM – decisions are made as a team • Do offer to see patients ind’ly and present them • Do look over imaging studies prior to visit (MRI!!!) • Do remember names of office/staff members and use them when addressing – always a nice touch
Don’t: • Spend more than 4-5 days • “relax” in front of the fellows or ancillary staff • Try to leave early • Bad-mouth your residency program • Bad-mouth other fellowship programs
