Anatomy Course - 12-week anatomy course which involves cadaver dissection of the back and limbs, is given February through April every other year.

The didactic series includes the major topic areas pertinent to PM&R, as identified in major textbooks and in the study guide of the AAPM&R. The schedule includes courses in physiatric therapeutics, anatomy and kinesiology, EMG, spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, pediatric rehabilitation and more.
Continuing Medical EducationDepartment or visiting faculty present PM&R topics of interest on a weekly basis. This forum is also used for case discussion and interesting electromyography (EMG) conferences.
Grand RoundsWeekly grand rounds include professor rounds with leading physiatrists, as well as, resident case presentations. Generally, the issues may center around a patient with a common but important clinical issue or a patient with an unusual problem. Presentations may be supported via literature searches, audio visual and handout materials.
Journal ClubThrough critical review of articles and the input and expertise of attending physiatrists, the Journal Club helps stimulate independent thought and the penchant for life long learning. The series enables participants to become superior consumers of research by encouraging familiarity with current PM&R literature, and providing an opportunity to critique study design and implementation as it relates to PM&R research.
AnatomyA 12-week anatomy course which involves cadaver disection of the back and limbs, is given January through April to PGYII residents.
