National Guard Training/Exercise Program • Joint Task Force (JTF) Commander Training Course (JCTC) • Prepares potential JTF Commanders to operate across the full operational spectrum • Primary audience National Guard w/select Title 10 and civilian • Four and one-half days in duration • Offered twice per year at NORAD and USNORTHCOM • Joint Force HQ (JFHQ)/JTF Staff Training Course (JSTC) • Trains potential JFHQ-State / JTF-State Staff members • Primary audience NG with local Emer responders/Mgrs • DL and Resident instruction • Vigilant Guard Exercises • 4 per yr • 2 independent and 2 integrated w/AS and VS
Table-Top Exercises • Train and educate TTX participants on preventing and mitigating the affects • of natural and man-made disasters. • Develop efficient synergies between: • - NORAD-USNORTHCOM - Interagency • - International Neighbors - Private Sector • - Department of Defense - State and Local Entities • Validate plans and test concepts & procedures • Address gaps, seams and shortfalls • Topics include DHS National Planning Scenarios and • many others
