  1. The Paper Tree/ DUCSecurity Guard Internal Policies and Procedures

  2. Security Policies For Employees

  3. No ID, No Entry • BODY SEARCH AND BAG SEARCH of Employees upon EVERY EXIT. • FRISK WELL. SEARCH WELL. • Deputize a female employee to frisk female employees. • For employees, USE EMPLOYEE GATE ONLY. (Loading bay, NOT STORE DOORS). • Exception: • Top Management • Packers and store staff assisting customers in the parking area • Loading Bay doors are already closed.

  4. No bringing in of personal ball pens and office supplies. Therefore, no one should also bring them out. These items are provided by the company so there is no reason for them to bring these things in. • Note: personal pens and/or office supplies should be surrendered with the guard upon entry. These personal items should be claimed from the guard by the employee upon exit.

  5. No employee is allowed to bring out company files unless there is written authorization from top management. • No employee or manager is authorized to break the rules. Report any incident of the rules being broken by any employee to top management.

  6. Security Policies During Loading

  7. BEFORE EVERY LOADING, MAKE SURE THAT DELIVERY TRUCKS/VANS AND OTHER VEHICLES ARE EMPTY. • ONLY WHEN DELIVERY VEHICLES ARE EMPTY CAN LOADING BEGIN. • IF VEHICLES ARE NOT EMPTY, REPORT TO WAREHOUSE MANAGER.

  8. Security Policies For Customers

  9. Always Open the door and greet customers when they are getting into the store/premise. • Always Open the door and thank customers when they are getting out of the store/premise. • Always check for proper documentation /receipt(s) before letting inventory (stocks) leave the store/premises.

  10. Security Policies For Inventory (Stocks)

  11. No inventory items should go out without any of the following receipts (All must be computerized): • POS Receipt • Charge Invoice (CHI) • Cash Slip (CS) • Trust Receipt (TR) • Delivery Receipt (DR)

  12. Security Policies For Shop Lifters/ Thieves

  13. Alert store/company staff when suspected shoplifters/thieves enter the premises. • Detain proven shoplifters/thieves immediately. Bring them to a secured area that is not too exposed to the public (so that they cannot make a scene) and ask for help from your co-employees to call up the police (911). • The best way to prevent shoplifting/theft is to let the would-be-shoplifters know that there are people watching them.

  14. Security Policies For Car Park Area

  15. Car park is for The Paper Tree customer and employee use only. • You may let non-customers/non-employees use the car park during non-store hours. However, always leave one slot open just in case customers would like to park (especially for Pronto Mario). • Do not let trucks and other vehicles (especially of other companies) block the car park area/driveway.

  16. Other Notes

  17. Always Wear Proper Uniform • Guard your post. No standing by inside restaurant facilities, store facilities, etc. • Report any issue to your supervisor and/or Top Management. • No Security Guard should be on continuous duty for more than 24 hours. Otherwise, report to your supervisor or Top Management. • Follow your agency’s security guard’s manual and other policies.
