Singular Subjects, He, She, & It Negatives • The child does noteat breakfast every day. • He usually does not exercise in the afternoon. • Shedoes not wake up early. • It often does not rain in December. Note: does not can be changed to doesn’t.
Important Note • Note that the second or main verb stays in the base form. It does not change, even when the subject is singular: • He doesn’t speak French. • NOT • He doesn’t speaks French.
