  1. Blog #11– Weight Lifting • Write your Grammar Book theme at the top of the blog entry. • Your goal: _____lbs (pounds) – write on HW • Complete practice from your grammar book (p. 21). Add these sentences to your blog. • Be sure to follow the instructions at the top for underlining and highlighting. • Include the pound weight of the questions you answer & the # of the questions.

  8. Register • At the top of the page, click “Register” • Click “Student”

  9. Enter your school email address & click “Go”

  11. Be patient while you see this…  (Don’t click) Once this screen comes up, click “Continue”

  14. Saving your Scores • Click the top link on the next page to save your quiz results.

  16. Take the Quiz! • There are 10 questions. After you finish each one, click “Submit” to check your answer, then “Continue” again to go to the next question.

Over the Weekend: • Want to study for the EXPLORE? • Need help coming up with good questions for your “Grammar My Style”?? • Want extra credit??? • Complete practice in any category we have covered in class and get credit for your quizzes. Don’t like your score? Take another quiz (or the same one again) to average your scores.

  18. Over the Weekend: • Go to the website (hackerhandbooks.com/pocket) • Click “Log In” at the top so your work is logged

Complete any of the following: • Clarity • Wordy sentences • Shifts: person & number (pronouns) • Shifts:tense (verbs) • Grammar • Subject-verb agreement • Irregular verbs • Verb tense • Pronoun-antecedent agreement • Pronoun reference • Sentence fragments • Run-on sentences • Verb forms & tenses • Punctuation • Major uses / All uses / Misuses of the comma • The semicolon & the comma • The apostrophe
