Why choosing Facebook primarily to revive IBA FCS’s social media presence • Reach: All stakeholders who are on Facebook can connect to IBA FCS’s page. • Sharing Content: Sharing content on Facebook is the very simple and easy. • Awareness: Facebook can be a great resource for generating brand awareness for IBA FCS. Since Facebook is becoming popular amongst various age demographics and can be a create interception point for building relationship with students, faculty and alumnus.
Students/ Alumnus & Faculty Engagement: By using Facebook applications can be a great way for communicating the events which take in IBA. • Drive Web Traffic: Facebook can act as a portal point for driving traffic to IBA FCS’s site and other online properties. • Exposure: Facebook enables to get the word out about offerings and services. • Direct Interaction

Virtual Competitions • IBA FCS should hold a series of different virtual competitions every month ranging from big to small • Run a FCS blog: Users will be asked to run a blog on Computer science. The blog that is most active and has informative articles will get prize money up to PKR 50,000 and special recognition by IBA FCS. • Quiz Competition: FCS shall hold a series of quiz competition every week related to computer science. The winner of each competition shall get a book or gift voucher.

Interactive Games • Online interactive games by FCS students • Two types of games: • IBA related games • Entertainment Podcasts from Alumni • Create a series Alumni Podcasts of FCS Department • How their education is impacting their professional life greatly. • Interactive and interesting videos will serve as a testimony of IBA FCS Dept
Webinars & Tutorials • Convenient channel to give knowledge. • May also have user interactions. • A useful tool for creating a good reputation.
Online Advertisements • Online ads are cheap and effective. • An intelligent way to capture attention of your target market. • Ads would attract more people on the IBA FCS page. • These ads direct the users to the fan page so that you can interact with them easily.
Comments Policy • Encourage the reader to comment, debate and even disagree • Convey a sense that all voices are heard, valued and equal members of the blog community • Outline comment ownership and liability. • Define what would be considered disrespectful

E-Vites to events • For all the society events of IBA like Alumni Dinner, Carnival, Bake Sale, Welcome, Farewell etc., there should be e-vites. They can be in scanned card format, through Facebook event pages and alike. Through this, it will come up more on the cyber space.
Downloads for desktop & mobile devices • IBA logos, pictures, designs that students make, should be available for download for purposes like wallpapers and screensavers.
Watch online – coronation, night matches, events… • Live streaming should be made available of all major events that take place, such as the IBLC, Carnival, night matches, farewells, welcomes, etc. • This will give an opportunity to all web users to really see how these events are like, and participate in them virtually.
Videos on YouTube • IBA FCS should post the main events’ videos on YouTube for global reach. Also, students should post their personal fun-times events in college, with their friends and class mates.
Photo galleries on Flick • Photograph albums should be created on Flickr that could be seen by the public. This would give them a concise visual experience of the campuses, main events etc.
