The Factors we will consider • In addition to providing excellent academic and practical education… …..we will look to develop:- • Positive Attitudes • Emotional Intelligence • Intellectual Horsepower • Appropriate Competencies
A Positive Attitude “RECRUIT FOR ATTITUDE – TRAIN FOR SKILL”
We believe ‘the Diplomas’ will:- • Provide businesses with more young people who have an understanding and enthusiasm for Engineering, at all levels • Will provide the Practical skills combined with the Theory which JCB are looking for • Will provide young people with a better preparation for the “World of Work”
JCB’s view • “We believe the new Diplomas will provide an excellent route for young people, whatever their academic aspirations, to achieve qualifications that will prepare them for their future careers. As well as providing the knowledge and skills that business and industry require, they will also address the additional characteristics relating to employability, so essential to an individuals future success.”
