  4. Weather • Grasslands get 10-30 inches of rain per year. The grasslands are also hot/dry.

  5. Plants Some plants in the grasslands are milk weed, saddle bag, cone flower, stinging needle, poison ivy, red bud tree, silver maple tree, grass, and very few trees.

  6. Animals Some animals in the grasslands are African elephants, gold finches, monarch butterflies, bison, prairie chickens, rain deer, pronghorns, antelope, zebras, warthogs, lions, ostrich, black rhinos, hyenas, giraffes, and ferrets.
