Arts & Humanities (A&H) in Scopus • Today (2008) Scopus covers already 1600 titles in A&H and related areas • Core (history, literature, philosophy …): 700 • Related areas (education, social/developmental psychology): 900 • In 2009 Scopus plans to add >1200 titles in the A&H core areas • Titles are selected on basis on the “European Reference Index for the Humanities” (ERIH) by European Science Foundation (ESF) • Scopus A&H coverage will exceed Thomson’s AHCI • Customer benefits • Scopus can be positioned as a true “all-science database” in large universities with strong A&H faculties • Extensive citation data in A&H can be used for research assessment No extra charge
