  3. Each worksheet is made up of squared paper Each square is called a Cell If we click on a cell, it becomes the ActiveCell Excel is just like your Maths Book!!! It has lots of pages inside; called Worksheets

  4. Each worksheet has Columns (Letters) and Rows (Numbers) Each cell has its own special name e.g. A10 This is called its Cell Reference

  13. Range of Cells A group of selected cells is called arange. In the example cells are A3 through C5 are selected, it would be written as A3:C5

  15. Autofit AutoFitdetermines the best width for a column based on its contents. Double click on the line separating columns to use autofit.

  16. Excel Errors If you ##### in a cell widen the column! Double click the line separating columns or drag it with your mouse! Increase the decimal places to view the number!

  17. In Excel, functions allow us to make calculations easier! =Sum(A1:A6) adds the cells Instead of Other Functions =Average(A1:A6)averages the cells =Count(A1:A6) counts the entries
