Choosing Good Websites Not all websites meet your needs or give you information that is correct.
To determine if a website is safe and reliable to use, answer the following questions.
1. Does the site have an author? Does it clearly explain what is the purpose of the site? You should answer “yes” to both of these questions!!
2. Is the information relevant to you? Is it useful? You should answer “yes” to both of these questions!!
3. Can it be checked? Does the site contain a list of resources? Are there links? You should answer “yes” to all of these questions!!!!
4. When was the site updated? You probably want the most current information, but you will need to be the judge of that information.
5. Is the site biased? Does it present information from only one point of view? You want information with little biases. One would hope that many points of view would be present.
