  4. Niyah • Before you start cleansing yourself physically you have to make a clear intention of what you're going to do. You should be clear that you are making Wudu. If you're cleaning yourself because you’re dirty or spilled something on yourself then it is not counted as a Wudu. Intention happens in your heart, So you think of it and you don't have to say it.

  5. Bismallah • You say bismallah before you start physically cleansing yourself.

  6. Wash Your Hands • The second step of wudu is to wash your hands three times from the tip of your fingers up to your wrists. You have to pour water into your hands and wash them three times before immersing them into the water.

  7. Wash You Mouth • The third step of wudu is to wash your mouth three times. If you are not fasting you have to make sure your mouth is filled with water.

  8. Wash Your Nose • You have to sniff water up your nose using your right hand and blow it back down using your left hand three times.

  9. Wash Your Face • To wash your face from the top of your forehead to the bottom of your chin and from the front of your right ear to your left ear three times.

  10. Wash Your Arm • To wash your arms from the wrist to the elbow three times, starting with the right arm then the left arm. Making sure you wash slightly beyond the elbow also to wash everything in between.

  11. Wipe Your Hair To wipe your head from the top of your forehead to the back of your scalp once then back to the top of your forehead.

  12. Wipe Your Ears To wipe your ears once from the top around then to the bottom in and out.

  13. Wash Your Feet Wash your feet three times starting with your ankles down to your toes, and in between your toes. When you wash your feet start with the right.

  14. Du’a Finally after you finish washing yourself you have to say a Du’a: "ASH HADU AN LA ILAHA ILLAL LAHU WAH DAHU LA SHAREEKA LAHU WA ASH HADU AN-NA MUHAMMADAN 'ABDUHU WA RASULUHU." (I testify that there is no deity except Allah alone. And I testify that Muhammad (SAW) is His servant and Messenger)" ALLAH HUMMA IJ 'ALNEE MINATTAW-WABEEN, WAJ 'ALNEE MINAL MUTA TAH-HIREEN."(O Allah make me among those who are penitent and make me among those who are purified)
