Killer Pizza By: Greg Taylor Published in 2009 fantasy Adam L. 7th period
Setting • A pizza shop with a secret underground room. The room is used for training, weapons, and gear. Inside hidden hills. • If the setting was different the whole story would change. The kids wouldn’t be able to apply for a different job and a pizza shop is a good place for a secret underground room plus a good place to eat pizza.
conflict • Harvey, strobe, toby, Steve & Annabelle were trying to save everyone from the guttata.
Summary of plot • Five strangers join forces against the guttata • If someone was bitten or scratched by the guttata they would become a guttata over time • They work together to defeat the guttata and end up become friends
theme • Anyone can be a hero no matter your age or if you are big or small.
Point of view • It is written from the third person point of view. The story would be different if it was written in the first person point of view of the narrator and the guttata. • The guttata would not see the five strangers are heroes they would see them as villains who ruined their plans to grow their pack.
symbolism • Toby, Annabelle, and strobe each were given an McO medal for their bravery and hard work as MCO’s.
Recommendation • I would recommend this book because you are always wondering what will happen next. This book is good if you like action and adventure. You will always be surprised what happens next.
