  2. The Problem Modern Emergency vehicles (Ambulances, Police Cars, Fire Engines, etc) use a Audio/Visual based warning devices to warn civilian traffic. Is it effective and safe enough?

  3. The Problem (cntd.) Civilian drivers often get confused about the exact location of the emergency vehicle. Result: PANIC!!! To make way.

  4. Solution A smart traffic light. Warn Civilians minutes before an emergency vehicle comes by that way.

  6. Benefits • A warning signal in advance. • No need for any new communication infrastructure. • An emergency does not spawn new emergencies 
