Traffic Light System • The traffic light system is green for go, red for stop. • If the light is on red, or flashing red, vehicles must stop. • The system will allow only one direction of traffic at any one time.
Traffic Light A • Traffic light A is positioned at the exit to Plant 3 yard. • Traffic light A controls the movement of HGVs, clamp trucks & other vehicles.
Traffic Light B • Traffic light B is on Green Street opposite the Block Plant despatch yard. • Traffic Light B controls the movement of HGVs & other vehicles leaving the Block Plant despatch yard.
Traffic Light C • Traffic light C is positioned on Green Street in front of the zebra crossing. • Traffic light C controls the movement of vehicles to Plant 3 yard and the Block Plant despatch yard.
Traffic Light D • Traffic light D is positioned next to the Despatch Office. • Traffic light D controls the movement of clamps trucks along the dedicated travel route.
Pedestrian Warning Light • The pedestrian warning light is positioned beside the pedestrian exit from Plant 3. • The warning light flashes when vehicles are moving within the area of the traffic control system.
Vehicle Movement within the System • Vehicles must not perform U- turns within the area controlled by the traffic light system. • Vehicles must keep to the left. • Once a vehicle has entered the controlled area it must not stop, unless in an emergency,until it has exited the controlled area.
Vehicle Parking on Green Street • Vehicles must not be parked on areas of Green Street which have been painted with double yellow lines.
