  1. What FSAE is?? • It is an organisation that carries out student automotive racing competitions around the world. • FSAE racing competitions take place every year in more than 10 countries. • This is an opportunity for students to show their engineering skills before the world by designing and building formula based vehicle. • The competition takes place over a week and judged by different leading F1 car chief engineers.

IIT Roorkee Motorsports • IITRMS is a group of Engineering Students competing in International Collegiate Design event- Formula Student. • We design, fabricate ,analyze, test and run a race car. • First time in Dec. 2011 we represented India at Formula SAEAustralia. This year we went to Formula Student UK in the month of July.

  3. Types Of Events • There are two types of events in Formula Student- • Static: Technical Inspection ,Cost & Manufacturing, Presentation and Design • Dynamic: Acceleration, Skid Pad, Autocross, Fuel Economy and Endurance.

  4. Achievements FSAE Australasia – Dec 2011 • 1st in fuel efficiency. • 6th in Cost and Manufacturing • 16th in endurance Race • 19th in business plan presentation

  5. Formula Student -July 2013 • Cost efficiency ranking 30/88 • Business case 31/88 • Design 68/90 • Overall 61/90.
