3-D Aligner - The Idea • An Engineer in San Jose, CA saw a car that had an obvious wheel alignment problem • IDEA … can a “machine” see and determine alignment angles like the human eyes and brain? • YES … using cameras and computers!!!

Why Circles? As the circle is moved away distance is measured
And... As the circle is rotated it forms an ellipse This ellipse is used to measure the angle of the Target
