Elaine Spaulding, executive director of the Paducah Area Chamber of Commerce, assisted Director Vel Lynn, WKCTC President Dr. Barbara Veazey, and Neil Archer, chair of the Paducah Chamber of Commerce Education Committee, during the open house/ribbon cutting for the Workplace Skills Center June 23, 2004 at Kentucky Oaks Mall in Paducah.
The Workplace Skills Center is located in Kentucky Oaks Mall in Paducah, KY near K’s Merchandise. HOURS:Monday – Friday 10 am - 8: 30 pmSaturday 10 am - 3 pm
The Workplace Skills Center is the product of a partnership of concerned local and state agencies, who have joined forces to provide this opportunity to the region.

The Center offers free or low cost services and training including: • Assessment • GED preparation & testing • Customized training for employers • Employee skills certificate • Targeted instruction • Computer basics • Adult basic skills • Interview preparation

Workforce Investment Board Provided The Workplace Skills Center with $5,000 to use for payment of KEC and KMSS assessments.
Ongoing Media Campaign • Television Commercials • Newspaper Ads • Radio Advertisements • Brochures • Flyers • Other Promotional Items (Pens, Notepads, Cups, etc.)
