Course evaluation, fall 2009 What could be improved? • For some modules, it wasn’t entirely clear what was expected of the students (aims, assessment criteria). • More classroom time is needed, especially for the short modules. • Some students felt that they would have liked to concentrate on just one or two modules at a time. • There were problems with the schedule at the start of the course. • The reading list should be made available sooner. • The students don’t always read the information that’s available to them, so the teachers should inform them about everything in class.
Course evaluation, fall 2009 What has been especially good? • Good teachers (competent and very approachable) • Phonology, Grammar, Text and Culture, Language Proficiency • There was a lot of variation: both oral and written assignments • The group presentations and the group assignments were very useful

Grammar prep course (“Preparandgrammatik”) • Non-obligatory access course in grammar. No credits, no assessment. • All modern languages. • Teacher: Camilla Grönvall. • Fridays, starting week 4. • Focus: basic and complex sentence analysis (“primär och sekundär satslösning”). • Course material: “Hjälpredan” (free downloads at Kurstorget).
