Process • Recycled paper cut into strips • Stamping press cuts paper into stems • Making strips of 120 stems • The strips move through a bath of hot wax on a conveyer belt • Then they dry in an oven for 15 seconds • The chemicals are all mixed together in a mixing vat • Conveyer runs the match stick heads through the mixed batter • Placed on conveyer where they are air dried
Process • Then they are placed in a matchbox or matchbook
Feedback • The original match was created in the year 500, then a new one came along in the 1800’s, now they are both obsolete due to the modern match we have now, which will eventually be replaced by something better, and more efficient. But for now this is what we have and it works quite well.
