Legislative Report (Heather Kloth): • Congress must act to increase funding for CDC 22% by 2022. • This impacts NHSN, Antibiotic Resistance Initiative, PPHF funding, Advanced Molecular Detection, & AHRQ • New guidelines for TB screening among HCP available • CDC released interim guidance on PPE in SNFs called “Enhanced Barrier Precautions” • FDA update on EtO and Sterigenics facility closures available on APIC website

Board of Directors Meeting, April Highlights: • Budget discussed re: Nairobi chapter support, approved • Confirmed program for 2019 • Discussed need for Member Needs Survey 2020 • Encourage use of MyAPIC to communicate to Badger members • Design of new member packets, including resources and APIC pathway • BOD will report out on a resource that is valuable to practice at each meeting
