NZLSA Council = MUCH smaller than ALSA!! Much more relaxed, informal discussion and agenda No breakout groups, instead, Council functions as extended breakout group We were able to sit in on, and contribute to, a number of discussions: NZLSA Alumni Project Education Focus & Purpose Also gave 3 presentations to Council: Competitions & Conference 2012 Education Initiatives of ALSA Leadership Across ALSA
Education Forum Learnt about MMP & NZ Electoral reform Speakers stayed for afternoon tea, giving opportunity to talk in small groups [Not pictured: Rational voting processes]
Competitions UNSW WON WITNESS EXAMINATION! CONGRATULATIONS!
Future for NZLSA and ALSA NZLSA relations at a very good place; looking forward to sending competitors and delegation in 2012 Invited new NZLSA Exec to attend an ALSA Council Meeting to see how we formulate policy and run our working parties Looking at signing MOU with NZLSA Exec at Conference next year
