  5. PORTFOLIO / CLIENTS Gaana: Gaana.com is a commercial music streaming service providing free and licensed music. It was launched in April 2010 and provides both Indian and international music content. SaReGaMa: SaReGaMa is India’s biggest music content owner and licenses music to many music streaming platforms. Queppelin has built the mobile app for delivering content to the users. Users can preview and purchase music (individual songs and albums).

We developed the website News18.com, modules for pre-election, result day, post- election, ICC world cup, CricketNext, Budget AMP pages, APIs, CMS and a number of microsites for both English and vernacular. Radio Mirchi: Radio Mirchi is India’s no.1 music station. Queppelin has built the official apps for their most popular and India’s most successful RJ (RJ Naved).

Queppelin has done the complete mobility solutions. Facebook: Integrated Facebook with Telecom operator backend in India to allow seamless transition of mobile sim users into FB users in 2012.

  8. CASE STUDY – RAJASTHAN PATRIKA Client’s Pain: Patrika has always been the avant-garde in tech adoption but were lagging behind due to not having well performing mobile apps in 2012. Solution offered: Patrika’s readership is either in India tier-2 towns or the Indian diaspora living abroad. We targeted the two user bases by developing iPhone/Android apps (for diaspora) and j2me/blackberry apps (for tier-2). The website was developed keeping in mind a) the SEO angle b) trade off between not cluttering but still presenting as much news. Challenges: 1. Buy-ins from all stakeholders. 2. Legacy issues with existing code base. Tech: Phone gap, Dot Net, Java, AWS EC2/S3 Impact: 1. More than a million downloads on Android Play Store. 2. High ranking website for Hindi news

  9. CASE STUDY – TIMES GROUP Client’s Pain: 1. TOI were yet to form a mobile strategy and development team in 2012 while the products in pipeline needed to be essentially mobile first. 2. Gaana.com needed to be able to stream on 2G networks prevalent at the time. Solution offered: 1. Queppelin had a pre-built platform for mobile compression and streaming that had been showcased by Oracle at MWC – Barcelona. This was quickly white labeled for Gaana. 2. We developed our own codecs to stream on low bandwidth networks. 3. Quickly setup a team to build other products at a breakneck speed. Challenges: 1. Low bandwidth mobile networks. 2. Tight launch deadlines. Tech: Java, LWUIT, Akamai Impact: 1. Gaana quickly surpassed Saavnto become number one player. 2. TOI became the most downloaded mobile news app.
