MY SERVANT A Confidant of the King
• Caleb had a different spirit—a faithful spirit (Numbers 14:24; cf. 14:33; Psalm 78:8)
• Caleb was 1 of 2 among 600,000 to receive an inheritance (Numbers 14:30)
• “listen to all that I command you, walk in My ways, do what is right in My sight, observe My statutes and commandments, as My servant David did”(1 Kings 11:34, 38)
• David “kept My commandments, followed Me with all his heart, and did only what was right in My sight” (1 Kings 14:8)
• Job was blameless, upright, fearing God, turning away from evil, and there was no one like him on the earth (Job 1:8; 2:3)
• God spoke to Moses face to face (instead of in dreams and visions)and he saw the form of the LORD(Numbers 12:6–8)
• Moses received and mediated the Law to Israel (Joshua 1:7; 2 Kings 21:8; Malachi 4:4)
• Job interceded for his three friends to stay God's wrath (Job 42:7–9)
• God chose Caleb to apportion the inheritanceto the tribe of Judah (Numbers 34:16–29)
• God chose David to rule over Israel (2 Samuel 7:8; Psalm 89:19–20)
• God used Isaiah as an object lesson for Egypt and Cush for three years (Isaiah 20:2–4)
