You took the Gospel to the Poor The word of God alight in you Which in our day is told again That timeless word, for ever new

  3. You told of God who died for us And out of death triumphant rose Who gave the truth and made us free And changeless through the ages goes Praise Father, Son and Holy Ghost Whose gift is faith that never dies A light in darkness now, until The daystar in our hearts arise

  11. Reading: We are all members of Gods household Ephesians Chapter 2 verses 19-22 The word of the Lord. ALL-Thank be to God.

  12. Intercessions We pray to Christ who built his church on the rock, and sent his apostles as witnesses to his victory over death. Res* Lord, be with your church. You prayed that the faith of Peter might not fall:- Strengthen and sustain the faith of your church. Res* Lord, be with your church.

  13. When you had risen from the dead you appeared to Peter and revealed yourself to Paul:- Help us to live in the power of your resurrection. Res* Lord, be with your church. You chose Paul to proclaim your good news to the nations:- like him, may we be committed to spreading the truths of your gospel. Res* Lord, be with your church. Peter denied you, but your love drew him back to you:- whatever we have done in the past keep us close to your merciful love. Res* Lord, be with your church.

  14. Our father who are in heaven Holy be your name Your kingdom come, your will be done On earth as it is in heaven Give us today our daily bread and forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us Do not bring us to the test But deliver us from all evil. Amen

  15. Prayer: Lord our God, may the blessed Apostles Peter and Paul support us by their prayers. Through them you first taught your church the faith. Provide us, your AOS members, by their intercession, with the needed graces to be witnesses of hope through proclamation, the liturgy, and the service we render to all seafarers. We make our prayer through Christ our God. ALL: Amen.
