(www.nila.tv) 2006 Energy Efficiency Runner Up 2007 Energy Efficiency Winner 2008 Alumni Award Winner The company develops and sells innovative and environmentally sustainable high-output, solid-state lighting systems. NiLA recently secured a worldwide distributor for its lighting systems. They provided lighting for the 2008 James Bond film “Quantum of Solace” and Ron Howard’s “Angels and Demons”. The funding is enabling a transition from R&D to construction of a manufacturing plant capable of turning out 50 MW of systems a year.

(www.greenvolts.com) GreenVolts, a concentrating photovoltaic technology company, has achieved many milestones since winning the Renewables category in 2006. GreenVolts has signed an agreement with PG&E for a two megawatt HCPV power plant that, when completed, will be the largest such system in the world. The company has also successfully closed two institutional funding rounds: (1) a $10 million Series Aand (2)a$35 million Series B.
