BACKGROUND • City of Pasadena held its Primary Nominating Election on Tuesday, March 8, 2011 for the Office of Mayor and City Council Districts 1, 2, 4, and 6. • Pasadena City Charter, Section 1204, provides that, “Any person who, at the primary election, shall receive a majority of the total vote cast for candidates for said office shall be elected to such office.”

  3. CERTIFICATE OF CANVASSAND RESOLUTION DECLARING ELECTION RESULTS • Bill Bogaard, running unopposed and having received 100% of the total votes cast for the Office of Mayor, is re-elected as Mayor for a full term of four years • Jacque Robinson, having received 74.7% of the total votes cast for District 1, is re-elected as member of the City Council, District 1 for a full term of four years • Margaret McAustin, running unopposed and having received 100% of the total votes cast for the District 2, is re-elected as member of the City Council, District 2 for a full term of four years • Steve Madison, having received 55.2% of the total votes cast for District 6, is re-elected as member of the City Council, District 6 for a full term of four years

CERTIFICATE OF CANVASSAND RESOLUTION DECLARING ELECTION RESULTS • In the Council District 4 race, of the five candidates running for this office, no one received a 50% plus one majority of the total votes cast • The two candidates receiving the highest number of votes cast are Jill Fosselman (35.7%) and Gene Masuda (37.4%) • In accordance with City Charter, Section 1204, only their names will appear on the General Municipal Election ballot, which will be held on April 19, 2011 for District 4

  5. PUSD CANVASS RESULTS Pursuant to the City Charter, the Pasadena Unified School District’s Board of Education election for Seats 2, 4, and 6 was consolidated with the City of Pasadena’s Primary Nominating election. The Official Canvass results for the PUSD election have been forwarded to the Board of Education. The results are as follows: • Renatta Cooper Seat 2 (94.3%) • Kimberly Kenne Seat 4 (55.1%)

PUSD CANVASS RESULTS • In the PUSD Seat 6 race, of the three candidates running for this office, no one received a 50% plus one majority of the total votes cast • The two candidates receiving the highest number of votes cast are Sean Baggett (34.8%) and Tom Selinske (47.4%) • In accordance with City Charter, Section 706, only their names will appear on the General Municipal Election ballot, which will be held on April 19, 2011 for PUSD Seat 6
