The test • Learners without IT skills or access to IT • Learners with low levels of literacy • A case for preparation courses for the test?
The language level • Is passing a B1 (Entry 3) speaking and listening exam beyond some learners? • ALTE ‘can do’ statements for B1: ‘Can express opinions on abstract/cultural matters in a limited way or offer advice within a known area, and understand instructions or public announcements.’
