At 5 years old, he weighs the same as the average 1 year old at 20 pounds and is 27 inches tall, which is the length of a brand new iMac screen. Apart from his physical trials, Nathan is all personality. He has a rare bone condition called OsteogenesisImperfecta (brittle bones). This disorder causes his bones to break very easily; he has even broken some bones by simply coughing, rolling over, or giving a high five! This condition has no cure. While there is a miracle drug that helps take away the pain in his bones, the bones are still too weak to hold his body weight. This is one of our Angels… His name his Nathan.
Lauren is 11 years old, She has Williams syndrome. WS is a genetic condition that is present at birth. It is characterized by medical problems, including cardiovascular disease, developmental delays, and learning disabilities. WS affects 1 in 10,000 people worldwide , an estimated 20,000 to 30,000 people in the United States. It is known to occur equally in both males and females and in every culture. Unlike disorders that can make connecting with your child difficult, children with WS tend to be social, friendly and endearing. Here is another Angel and her name is Lauren.
