Chiaudani – ARPAV
NATIONAL SOLIDARITY FUND COMPENSATIONS IN THE PERIOD 1978-2003; • In this work we have collected the administrative documentation of the adverse atmospheric events that resulted in compensation for damage, and available information in terms of: • their temporal frequency • their territorial distribution • their risk calendar • the average vendible gross production damage at municipal level
CALAMITOUS EVENTS COMPENSATED BY THE MINISTRY OF AGRICULTURAL AND FORESTALL POLICIES

FUTURE DEVELOPMENTS • increase of the territorial scale analysis at “site level” • description of the relationship between single cultivation phenology and damage, and single atmospheric adversity • synoptic study of single adversities behavior, supported from remote sensing techniques, especially radar images for hail • real-time radar images monitoring, in function of the organization of a nowcasting alert system • calculation of the “adversity risk” in function of frequency, damage, and event probability to support the elaboration of insurance policies.
