Overview • The European Union provides financial support to promote economic development and social inclusion through a series of inter-related funds known as Structural Funds. • Structural Funds aim to promote the development and structural adjustment of regionsthat has fallen behind other parts of the European Community. • Besides the structural funds, EU provides financial support for rural areas development though the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD) Str.
