  2. Introduction • We often hear people say, “Why did God let this happen”? – or some similar statement • Job 10:1-13

  3. They Don’t Know There Is Someone Else To Blame • Satan = Adversary • Jn. 8:44 • 1 Pet. 5:8-9 • Satan is ultimately responsible for all of the evil that is in the world, not God!

  4. People Do No Want To Be Responsible For Their Own Problems • Abortion, divorce, euthanasia, murder, theft all have one thing in common --- they are ways in which people try to escape responsibility for their own situation • We are each responsible for the quality of our own life

  5. People Do No Want To Be Responsible For Their Own Problems • Gal. 6:7-8 • We can blame God or we can take responsibility for our own actions

  6. God Is An Easy Target • Some always want to blame the one in charge when they face difficulties • God is over all—so many people blame God for everything • 2 Pet. 3:9-12 • Acts 17:30-31

  7. Some People Don’t Believe In Free-Will—So They Blame God • Calvinists • They believe God has predetermined everything • The truth is that men have freedom to choose between right or wrong • Deut. 30:19 • Joshua 24:15 • Mt. 7:13-14

  12. Many Believe That God Must Fix Their Problems Now • Many think that since God has not fixed their problems, He does not want to and they blame Him • Christians must seek God in prayer according to His will • Js. 4:3 • 1 Jn. 5:14

  13. Many Believe That God Must Fix Their Problems Now • God never promised to give us anything and everything that our heart desired • He has not promised to deliver us from all difficult situations • 2 Cor. 12:7-9

  17. People Forget To Praise God • When people forget to praise God then they criticize Him • God is worthy of praise – He is never deserving of criticism • Ps. 18:3 • Rev. 4:11
