  2. Here are some hints for getting off to a good start in your college classes:

  3. Post these and add photos/pictures 1. Be early to class. 2. Be involved in class. 3. Pay attention in class. 4. Turn your cell phone off.

The resources provided in the series can be used for bulletin boards, programs, as part of newsletters or websites, or as flyers. The go to class segment can easily be turned into a program by inviting faculty, alumni, or upper class students to talk about how attendance can make a big difference at college. There can be a great discussion about: 1. Attendance and participation matter in grading (faculty if possible) 2. Good habits to help you get there early/on time (share list with examples) 3. Sharing by seasoned students 4. Q & A 5. Closing activity: Make a plan to increase your attendance and make the most out of your classroom experience 6. Share plans if time 7. Evaluations
