  1. Creating art From Beginning to End Multimedia Flower Painting

  2. I start with a blank canvas, and gather all of my supplies. Mod Podge, Paint brushes, Paint, Tissue Paper, and Scrapbook Paper. For this project I used a two canvas set.

  3. Tear it up I start by picking my papers. I used scrapbook paper here, but you can use any kind of paper. From maps to newspapers. Whatever speaks to you. Then, you tear it in to strips and lay it out into an interesting design.

  4. After laying out a design that you’re happy with, generously apply mod podge to the entire cavasand lay out your pieces. Make sure they overlap and cover the entire top with mod podge as well. Once covered, tear strips of white tissue paper and crinkle them up. Stretch them back out and apply to the wet canvas. Press the tissue down and then let dry overnight.

  5. Next tear out rough circles, and layer contrasting ones together to make flowers. Mod podge them on, and let it dry until the mod podge is clear. After the canvas is dry, simply paint lightly over it. You don’t need a lot of paint since your colored papers do a lot of work.

  6. Paint stems on your flowers. Cut it apart at the seam. Hang it up!
