Future Ready Core The Future-Ready Core will help ensure that students graduate with the academic foundation they need for success in the global economy. Graduation Requirements 1. Earn a total of 26 credits. Pass the EOC in Common Core I, Biology, and English II.

Is Foreign Language… To graduate High School? To attend a UNC college? No. Yes… at least 2 years of the same language. Tip! 9th graders should not take a foreign language their Freshman Year unless they have taken it in Middle School.(exception = students attending Enloe who want to take 4 years of a language.)

Attendance 2 absences on a block schedule is like missing 4 days of learning. WCPSS policy dictates a student absent for more than 10 days in a semester class or 20 days in a yearlong class can be assigned a grade of “FF” indicating failure due to excessive absences.This includes both excused and unexcused absences.

High School Course registration on SPAN Student SPAN accounts are required for High School Registration. Students may use these accounts for the remainder of this year to check grades, attendance, and discipline.
High School Registration Folder Contents • Parent Letter with specific instructions to follow • Student SPAN directions and Student SPAN password • YOUR School’s Course options • WCPSS 4 sample year plan based on your plans for after high school • All information Ms. Barbour has received regarding special programs, auditions, etc. for your school.
SPAN Registration span.wcpss.net Option #1 Register @ Home • Use STUDENT SPAN ACCOUNT • Feb. 25 – March 7 • Students will finalize schedule from home and print out 2 copies: 1.one to keep 2.one for Ms. Barbour Option 2- Register with Ms. Barbour • Students will sign up for an appointment in Student Services (deadline 2/27) • Students will finalize schedule at school, print out 2 copies: 1.one to keep. 2;one goes home, is signed byparent, and returned to Ms. Barbour.
