ADC 403, Revised Procedures for Processing Depot Returns – SCC H and Automatic Disposal • Changes made to preclude uncontrolled release of sensitive, hazardous, or NWRM materiel to DLA Disposition (DRMO) • At time of receipt if SCC is H and management code is J, M, or T and : • DEMIL Code is: F, G, or P • CIIC is: A-H, K, L, O, Q, R, S, T, 5, 6, 8 or 9 • Cargo Code: is A,B,C,D,F,G,I,J,K,L,M,N,O,P,R,S,T,V,W,X,Y or 1 • Condition code will flip to K and an SDR will be produced and materiel will be stowed • A result of the T2T DSS review brought on by the Taiwan incident • Potential systems change for DSS to retain SCC H with SDR and stow materiel

ADC 403, Revised Procedures for Processing Depot Returns – Materiel Identification Not Known to Receiving Depot • DSS assigns locations by NIIN/SCC and where applicable other materiel characteristics such as HCC, CIIC, shelf-life…etc • To comply to 24 hour receipt posting, for materiel over current $100.00 disposal threshold assign a pseudo NSN • Assign FSC that closely resembles materiel • Enter as NIIN a description of the item • Use of “Unknown” default NSN would eliminate what little control and visibility is provided by the pseudo NSN • A local document number is used when/if needed

ADC 403, Revised Procedures for Processing Depot Returns – Materiel Identification Not Known to Receiving Depot • The increase in $$ threshold will: • Decrease DLA Distribution operating costs for the handling, storage, and management of this materiel • Reduce posting errors to an incorrect owner • Reduce DLA Supply Chains costs for the management of Supply Discrepancy Reports • An actual ICP cannot always be identified for this materiel • Shipper is most often known and can be tied to a service • Additional efficiencies could be attained if each service established an “Unauthorized Return” RIC
