Monthly Phone Tips Respondents to the NETS survey said that they needed more information about the phone system Previous attempts at training sessions were not well attended Short, brief description of phone and voicemail system features that users can put to use right away.
Easy "Missed Call" dialing Have you ever wondered if there was an easy way to dial a number in your missed calls directory without having to enter all of the digits? Well it is easy as pressing the 'Edit Dial' soft key when you are on the record of the call you wish to return. If it is a local call, simply enter a 9 then pick up the handset or press 'Dial' to use the speakerphone. If it is a long distance call, press 'Edit Dial' and 91 then 'Dial', you will still be prompted for your account key or employee ID.
Quickly Send a Ringing Call to Voicemail iDivert is a phone feature that redirects a ringing call directly to the voice messaging system. For example, a coworker has stepped into your office and you are discussing an important matter when your phone begins ringing. The soft keys that display on your phone are 'Answer' and 'iDivert'. You decide that you need to finish your conversation with your coworker, and will return the call later, so you would like the call to go to voicemail. You can either wait for it to ring 4 times allowing it to roll to voicemail, or you can press the 'iDivert' key and send the call to voicemail immediately.
Interactive Dialing Did you know that it is easier to place calls with the handset down? By entering the telephone number that you would like to call before picking up the handset, it is easier to edit any mis-entered digits. This also helps reduce the number of unintended emergency (911) calls. Simply dial the telephone number, and verify that it is correct on the display. If a digit is incorrect, you can correct the digit using the '<<' soft key. Then pick up the handset or press 'Dial' to use the speakerphone. If you are dialing a long distance number you can enter the telephone number, press 'Dial', enter your account key or employee ID at the prompt, and lift the handset (if you prefer using one) when your party answers.
