Overview In a Texas Poker game, your table position plays an important role in determining your actions. your decision to play a hand should always be based on your seating position on the table relative to the dealer button. The strategies to play a hand are different from every position. In a Texas Hold’em poker game, the Dealer button changes position clockwise after every hand. The button decides which player is going to act from which position in a hand. The player at the button makes his move after every other player in all betting rounds after the flop. When you are the last one to act in a hand, you are “in position”.

It is widely regarded as the best position to play on the table as you make your move after players on EP and MP positions in a betting round.
