Challenge: Create an artwork that depicts emotional change or a transformative moment.
Carousel: Visit each location work with your group to list ideas for each topic. Planning: Select a moment/emotion. Complete the Brainstorming Worksheet. Sketchbook: Write a paragraph or make a sketch describing the moment and why you chose it. List the emotion(s) or idea(s) you will express in your self-portrait. Steps

Steps • Draw: complete 4 continuous contour line drawing self-portraits while looking at your expression in the mirror. • Use marker: No erasing allowed- just retrace your lines. Try out different viewpoints and/or expressions. • Select a drawing to use as your guide • Sculpture: Begin forming your sculpture by shaping, bending, and securing the aluminum wire.

Session 3 Agenda • Expressive qualities worksheet. • Continue on sculpture. • REMEMBER: Next class is final session!
Steps • Complete the Expressive Qualities Worksheet activity. • Sculpture: Continue manipulating and refining your wire sculpture. • Try to capture a sense of your transformative moment and emotion. • Hanging: Make sure you include a loop or hook for hanging.
