4. Definition of Hajj Hajj means worshipping Allah by performing the Hajj rituals, which are defined as specific acts performed at a specific time and place in a specific way. riad@roctraining.com
5. The virtues of Hajj
Abu Huraira narrated, the holy prophet said: The best deeds is belief in Allah and his Messenger, then Jihad in his way, then a blessed and accepted Hajj. (Bukhari and Muslim)
The prophet PBUH also said: He who performs Hajj with no obscenity or evil practices will come out as a newly born baby free from all sins. (Bukhari and Muslim)
There is no reward for Al-Hajj-ul-Mabrur (the blessed accepted Hajj) other than Paradise. (Bukhari and Muslim)

6. Warning against not performing Hajj
Ali may Allah be pleased with him said: Whoever possesses the provisions and transportation that will enable him to reach the sacred house of Allah (the Kabah) and he does not perform hajj, then it does not matter that he dies a Jew or a Christian (Mawquf, Tirmidi)
Omar may Allah be pleased with him said: Verily, I considered sending some men to these cities so that they can look for everyone who has wealth but does not perform Hajj, and then make them pay Jizya. They are not Muslims, they are not Muslims (Al-Bayhaqi and Said bin Mansur in his Sunan)

7. Types of Hajj
Tamattu: Means performing `Umrah during the Hajj season, and on the Day of Tarwiah a pilgrim gets into the state of Ihram for Hajj. After fulfilling the Hajj rituals, one should offer a sacrificial animal.
Qiran: In this type of Hajj, a pilgrim should declare his intention to perform both Hajj and `Umrah together. Only when he throws the Jamrah of Al-`Aqabah, gets his hair shaved or cut that he can put off his Ihram. However, he should offer a sacrificial animal.
Ifrad: In the Miqat, a pilgrim of Ifrad Hajj declares his intention for Hajj only. He maintains his Ihram up to the Day of Sacrifice. No offering is required from him.

The torture at Jeddah airport!
You will be in a huge crushing crowd, and someone behind you is pushing you and shoving you, and jabbing their fingers into your back
The Hajj group told you to come down at 2 AM to get on the busses. It's now been 9 hours since the time they told you to come down and the busses have not moved yet
You need to go to the bathroom during Hajj very badly, and when you find the washrooms, there are 45 people waiting in front of you! riad@roctraining.com
