Written Portfolio--Artifact • Artifact-- • Represents the relationships between the content of the different courses. • Trans-disciplinary thematic links between the courses • What are the big ideas? Themes? • Connections to the literature • Bring tangible artifact to presentation and include written explanation of it in portfolio. • Suggested length=500 words

  5. Written Portfolio-Self-awareness • Discussion of individual strengths and weaknesses. • Tie to professional literature and coursework. Yes citations! • Reference LSI, other scales, auto-ethnography. • Suggested length=500 words

  6. Written Portfolio-Goals • Goals • Professional • Plan for achieving these goals • Deep Reflection • Connected to weaknesses in previous section • Concrete steps for improvement with feedback mechanisms • Suggested length=500 words

  7. Written Portfolio • Revise and edit • Citations and Reference List • Organize materials in binder & label categories • Professional and attractive appearance • Put a label on spine of binder with: • Name, email, phone #, and location where you’ll pick it up (RRHEC, San Marcos, AUC)

  8. Oral Presentation • Be prepared and practice • Be professional • Dress Professionally • Use power-point • Edit and Revise • Bring visual artifact • Prepare 15 minutes • 10 minutes for questions

  9. Results & Feedback Notified usually within one week by email (pass/fail) Specific written feedback sent at end of semester Commendations Recommendations Portfolio returned to selected campus (specified on label on binder) 9
