  2. Octopuses are sea animals famous for their rounded bodies, bulging eyes, and eight long arms.

  3. Octopuses typically drop down on their prey from above and, using powerful suctions that line their arms, pull the animal into their mouth. They like to eat: crabs larger animals like sharks shrimp lobsters

  4. Seals, whales, and large fish like to eat octopuses. If an octopus feels scared it will shoot an inky fluid that darkens the water, confusing the other animal. The octopus can also change to gray, brown, pink, blue, or green to blend in with its surroundings. Octopuses may also change color as a way to communicate with other octopuses.

  5. Octopuses like to live alone in dens built from rocks, which the octopus moves into place using its powerful arms.

  6. A girl octopus lays thousands of transparent eggs under rocks or in holes. She guards the eggs for four to eight weeks.
